This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains the information that GoEmployee collect about users through our Services, how we use that information, and with whom we share it. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. Information we collect and how we collect it

We collect some information from and about users of our Service (1) from the account you register with us and (2) when you use our Service.

Your account

We require certain information to provide our services to you. For example, you need to have a personal account such that we can allow you access to on or more of the specific exclusive Apps. You can read more about getting access to the app from our corporate partners in the section further down called, App partners and employees. When you choose to share the information below with us, we collect and use it to operate our services.

You can register an account with GoEmployee through either “Facebook login” or from your email address depending on the specific App.

When you register an Account with us through the social media site Facebook, you authorize us to collect certain registration information from your Facebook account (“Registration Information”). These include your basic public profile information, such as name. We may prompt you for email, age, gender, friend list, however - you do not need to authorize any of these. Some of our apps will require you to submit one or more of the latter information in order to let you sign up.

When you register an Account with us using your email, we may ask you to provide us with your name, e-mail address, a password, age, gender and a profile picture.

Additional information we receive about you

We receive certain information when you use our services or other websites or mobile applications that include our content, and from third parties including advertisers. Like the information you share with us, we use the data below to operate our services.

We require information about your signup and current location, which we get from signals such as your IP address or device settings, to securely and reliably set up and maintain your account and to provide our services to you. As an example, this includes showing relevant content and offerings close to you.

We may also collect, use and store information on your location when accessing or using specific content, such as benefits or deals, in order to optimize future content for you as well as making sure the services are not misused.

In order to operate our services, we keep track of how you interact with links across our services. This includes links in emails we send you, links in the Apps and links that appear on other websites or mobile applications.

If you click on an external link on our services, that website operator might figure out that you came from GoEmployee, along with other information associated with the link you clicked such as characteristics of the audience it was intended to reach. They may also collect other personal data from you, such as cookie identifiers or your IP address.

A cookie is a small piece of data that is stored on your computer or mobile device. Like many websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to collect additional website usage data and to operate our services. Cookies are not required for many parts of our services such as browsing the app, accessing and using benefits and deals. We receive information when you view content on or otherwise interact with our services, which we refer to as “Log Data,” even if you have not created an account. For example, when you visit our websites, download our App, sign into our services, interact with our email notifications, or access specific content in the Apps, we may receive information about you. This Log Data includes information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, content accessed, location, your mobile carrier, device information (including device and application IDs), search terms, and cookie information. We also receive Log Data when you click on, view, or interact with links or content on our services, such as deals and benefits. We use Log Data to operate our services and ensure their secure, reliable, and robust performance. For example, we use Log Data to protect the security of accounts and to determine what content is popular on our services. We also use this data to improve the content we show you.

Your private information

GoEmployee is not in the business of sharing data, and is hence not sharing your private information with any third-party unless if we are required to do so by law, or if necessary to operate our services. Besides from the points listed below, no third-party will hence be given access to your private information without consent from you.

Service Providers

We engage service providers to perform functions and provide services to us. For example, we use a variety of third-party services to help operate our services, such as hosting our various websites and apps, and to help us understand the use of our services, such as Google Analytics and Mixpanel. We may share your private personal data with such service providers subject to obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures, and on the condition that the third parties use your private personal data only on our behalf and pursuant to our instructions.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Privacy Policy or controls we may otherwise offer to you, we may preserve, use, or disclose your personal data if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the safety of any person; to protect the safety or integrity of our platform, including to help prevent spam, abuse, or malicious actors on our services, or to explain why we have removed content or accounts from our services; to address fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect our rights or property or the rights or property of those who use our services. However, nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party’s, including a government’s, request to disclose your personal data.

App partners and employees

GoEmployee has withstanding partnerships with several companies offering access to one of GoEmployee’s App to their employees, members or special relations. As a user, it will be very clear to you whether you were granted access to one of our Apps due a special relation, employment or membership of one of our partner companies. GoEmployee and partner companies have a legal agreement to work together on the specific App. Special employees at the partner companies and at GoEmployee will be given access to manage the App, which includes granting users access to the App and following the use of the service. This is necessary in order to operate the app and continously improve it.

If you are an employee, member or special relation at a company that has a partnership with GoEmployee, the operation and access to part of your data, can hence be accessed by carefully selected employees at that specific company. They are bound by the same requirements as stated in Terms and this Privacy Policy.

Affiliates and Change of Ownership

In the event that we are involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your personal data may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. This Privacy Policy will apply to your personal data as transferred to the new entity. We may also disclose personal data about you to our corporate affiliates in order to help operate our services and our affiliates’ services.

You control the personal data you share with us. You can access or rectify this data at any time. You can also deactivate your account. And we make the data you shared through our services portable and provide easy ways for you to contact us.

If you have registered an account with GoEmployee, you can access, correct, delete, or modify the personal data you provided to us and associated with your account. You can access most of your information from the specific App you signed for in the profile section. You can always contact us to access all these functions at hello@goemployee.dk.

Withdraw consent

You can always withdraw your consent by sending an email to hello@goemployee.dk.

Deletion

We keep your information as long as you have account with us in order to provide you the Service.

If you request deactivation of your account we will delete all personal information on you. There is hence no way to reverse account deactivation if you ask us to do so. You can always deactivate your account by sending us an email with a request to do so at hello@goemployee.dk.

Data security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. All request between application and our backend is encrypted with industry standard SSL.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Service, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect or market personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
